Escape from Albatros

Adventurous sci-fi family series
In an extremely efficient future society, Jayson’s grandmother and Maud’s grandfather fail the annual competency test for people over seventy. In this series for young people, they are required to go to a senior citizen island Albatros. It is 2040 and in this future Netherlands, every citizen has to perform. Children study for their future, parents work non-stop and people over seventy are measured against the yardstick of this over-efficient society by means of an Exit Test (UTT). Failed? Then they are taken to one of the artificial islands off the Dutch coast. In this eight-part youth series, grandchildren Jayson and Maud discover that their grandparents are not ‘enjoying their old age’ there at all. They therefore plan a spectacular escape.
